FROM 24-25 INTRODUCTION TO LITERATURE & COMPOSITION STUDENTS

Book Stack

"Blue Tent's Introduction to Literature and Composition course offers a friendly, structured, and educative introduction to academic literature. The course instructor, Anna Grace Freebersyser, guides students with encouraging, constructive, and supportive feedback, creating a space where students can flourish as they gain deeper and thorough understandings of literature and composition."

"Through annotations, themes, grammar, vocabulary, playlists, different genres of books, and all sorts of essays, from analysis and comparing essays to non-fiction research essays, there really is something for everyone in this class. If you don't like research, you may like analysis essays. If you don't like a specific genre of books, you'll most likely enjoy a different one because of the variety throughout the year. Ms. Free is so warm and welcoming, and through her and all the assignments, I felt like I really belonged!!"

"This class helped me strengthen my essay ability, grammar, and even vocabulary! Ms. Anna Grace gave the best feedback on all my essays and made it easy to follow when we did revisions. I enjoyed all the writing instruction Ms. Anna Grace provided since it created a foundation for essay writing. This class helps you improve your essay abilities and provides an excellent foundation for all the English courses you'll take throughout high school and beyond! Thanks, Ms. Anna Grace!!"

"I started this class believing I was a prodigy at writing. However, as soon as the projects began to roll in, I realized that I may understand what good writing is, but I hadn't learned how to be a good writer myself. This class helped me understand how to analyze stories, concisely present my thoughts and opinions, and persuasively argue for a point using support from the real world as well as logic. Not only was this class astronomically helpful in developing my writing skills, it was incredibly enjoyable. The books we read are ones I will read over and over, and the assignments we worked on are ones I will remember for a long time. The teacher was wonderful, and my fellow classmates were amazing. If I knew what the experience was going to be like at the start of this past school year, I would not hesitate to sign up again."

"This class was totally worth it! It was amazing, just like Ms. Free, and I learned so much! We had some really fun assignments, and we were able to compare the different perspectives of our classmates, which helped us get to know each other a lot more. Ms. Free is so sweet and kind; she responded really quickly whenever she was messaged with a question. She never got mad and always treated everyone with kindness and respect. It was rigorous, but with all the help available, it didn't seem like it at times. We read about eight books this year; all were high-level, engaging, and stimulating. The assignments were super helpful, but really fun at the same time. This class was a blast; Ms. Free is amazing, and I learned so much from her.."

"In this class I tremendously improved my grammar, vocabulary, punctuation skills, and read a lot of interesting books. When I was stuck on some assignment, the teacher would always explain it to me. I really enjoyed this class, and I would highly recommend it."

"Extremely fun, it gets the hard stuff done."
