This was the most enjoyable class I have ever had I think. The workload wasn’t too little or too much and the content was very fun and interesting. I think that this course prepared me really well for the exam.

I loved the way how at the beginning of the year you set off the belief in me that making mistakes is what will make me successful. That I do not have to be perfect on assessments, but it is important that I find my areas of weakness and improve in them. Not a single time throughout the year I have googled a question because I did not know how to answer it. I did my best to show what I know, and the questions I got while working out a problem, made my brain even more eager to learn the answer. Learning from my mistakes is what I think made me successful.

I like how in some of the feedback that you would give us in our notes or projects you would give us real life examples and show us how some of the terms can be seen in our day to day life.

In all honesty, I mainly learned the content just because it was interesting. It's cool to learn all these things that tie together and what doesn't. I think your willingness to help us constantly to better and retry tests in different ways was really helpful. It turned tests from feeling more terrifying to a bit more chill because, while I naturally still studied a lot, it was less horrifying if I didn't do as well as I'd hoped and I still had a shot to learn from my mistakes. It really made it feel more content focused then grade-focused.

Personally, I was interested in learning the content because I thought it would be cool to be able to apply this knowledge to real life scenarios. You sharing your stories and experiences with us and connecting it to concepts, helped me with wanting to do the same. Your stories and experiences also helped make the relationship between you and your students more personal and relatable.

I loved how you would give us examples and explain  with your kids, because it helped me see that it relates to the topic

The feedback that you gave for assignments was always encouraging and sometimes you would connect the content to a real life example, which was really nice.

I really really enjoyed your responses. For example, when I submitted a concept map about philosophers and then not only would you say completed or good job, you would also tell us about your favorite philosophers and what you like the most about them. As well as I loved how you would share things from your personal life, for example with your kids if you got mad at them, how you would handle your anger. This is what made me feel more comfortable and more like you care about our work, and not like many teachers that teach just because they have to. Another thing I liked about this class is that I was comfortable sharing even if we have different opinions, you always said something in the lines of  "I like your thinking" or "This is interesting to see from another perspective"... As far as it concerns returning assignments, I really appreciated how fast you returned them and how fast you were with giving feedback. Another thing I want to add is how you would check up on us to see how we are doing. When I was dealing with a family loss, I appreciated how you offered to help me if I needed it something.Overall, I enjoyed this year with you being my instructor and if I had the chance to do it again I would.

I think having optional videos for us to watch helped create a stronger interest for the topic which made me want to learn the content for the sake of learning more about the topic because it was interesting. Especially when it comes to psych, everything we learned is so relevant to our daily life, that it made me want to learn just for the sake of learning

I think you did a fabulous job of connecting it with the students, let me explain. For example the assignments in which we had to outline our goals for the future while mentioning the developmental stages, Piaget, E.E, etc. The 16 personalities test assignment as well. These would include something that a student was doing for themselves, rather than "oh it is for my school assignment". I would have so much fun doing these assignments and it would be beneficial to me. Most of the time in school, the assignments that students do are wither not connected to them or they don't see benefits of doing this assignment. When I was working on my goals assignment for example, I wold actually sent myself goals, think about the future. It is like killing 2 birds with 1 stone, you complete your school work, while also seeing some benefit to yourself. I think these assignments were very fun and engaging. Thank you for teaching this course :) PS. I admire how you manage it, with SO MANY students doing this course, and all the other math courses that you teach.... amazing.....

I really enjoyed this AP course and I really think you have done a great job, you have helped us the learn the information that was really interesting in general. I really tried my best in order to pass the AP exam, but for me it seemed a bit hard, because even when I was reviewing I kept on confusing the terms, however I really tried.

I like how helpful you were any time there was a question, it made it easier to learn. I personally took this class as it was reccomended to me but I realized that i want to continue with a different area of study

I enjoyed the course structure, I feel like it kept me motivated to learn further. Everything about the course, the weekly emails, daily interaction in case of any questions, and pretty much everything about the course really helped me to stay motivated to learn, plus the fact that I was learning what I wanted to learn also helped me to be motivated.

You made us relate to it in real life which made want to do it because it might be helpful in the future. I very much enjoyed forums, especially when they connect to a personal story or opinion. They are an easy way to learn a concept and how to apply it to your own life which motivates you more. I enjoyed how you put extra videos and ted talks about how the topic applies to more than just the content it is, and now I cannot go a day without applying something from AP Psych to every day life and I'm so happy I have that knowledge now! I think AP Psych made me more understanding of others, but also more aware of myself and my own thoughts and feelings.

Ms. Hinman is a great teacher. I was definitely a hard student to deal with, but she was very patient and helped me out a lot. I wasn't very interested in math, but she made the course fun and enjoyable. I can tell she's very passionate about what she teaches and she used different strategies to help me out when I didn't understand. I learned a lot this year and it's all thanks to her.

You've added matrices into my interests. I've learned how to use them on my own time because you told me that it will help me with Calculus classes. And because it makes my life easier as a programmer.

Before, I was worrying a lot to take online class for an AP course. However, I could learn very much from valuable resources and assignments. Also, clear and fast feedback helped me a lot to prepare for the exam and to finish the course successfully without unneccessary stress. I was able to find my own intrinsic interest to learn about psychology. Thank you for the year!

I was actually really engaged and interested in learning the course material as you didn't base everything off the textbook and provided different forms of learning, whether that be through youtube videos, quizzes, etc.
